В интернете начался настоящий переполох после того, как СМИ сообщили о смерти маньяка Ариэля Кастро, осужденного за то, что он 10 лет насильно удерживал в плену трех женщин.

Как пишет The Huffington Post, пользователи Twitter перепутали кливлендского маньяка с кубинским лидеров Фиделем Кастро, начав писать о его смерти с хэштегом #FreeCuba.

При этом мнения пользователей разделились: среди тех, кто считал, что коммунистический лидер якобы умер, были и те, кого опечалила утка о смерти Фиделя, и те, кого "новость" обрадовала. Так, один из пользователей, комментируя "смерть Фиделя", написал: "Ариэль Кастро мертв! Наконец-то Куба может стать демократической".

Еще один пользователь написал: "Ариэль Кастро найден мертвым. Наверное, коммунист поперхнулся своей сигарой. Теперь я официально стал обладателем самой длинной бороды в мире. #FreeCuba".

Напомним, о смерти кливлендского маньяка стало известно 4 сентября. Его нашли повешенным в одиночной камере в тюрьме, где ему предстояло провести остаток своей жизни.

1 августа 2013 года 53-летний Ариэль Кастро был приговорен к пожизненному заключению и еще тысяче лет тюрьмы, что лишало его права на условно-досрочное освобождение. Кастро признали виновным виновным по 937 пунктам обвинения, в том числе в похищении и изнасиловании. Кроме того, его признали виновным в убийстве, поскольку он побоями спровоцировал выкидыш у одной из своих пленниц, забеременевшей от него.
