Британский журнал The Economist продолжит распространяться на территории Украины. Об этом сообщает ИТАР-ТАСС со ссылкой на представителя отдела подписки The Economist.
В издании подчеркнули, что продолжают рассылать экземпляры журнала украинским подписчикам. Кроме того, отметил представитель The Economist, журнал можно купить в Киеве и других городах. Вместе с тем, он не исключил, что с некоторыми украинскими агентствами, обеспечивающими распространение издания на Украине, могли быть разорваны контракты.
Ранее англоязычное украинское издание KyivPost, ссылаясь на Всеукраинское подписное агентство, сообщило об уходе The Economist с украинского рынка из-за коррупции. Представитель агентства заявил, что местные власти якобы шокировали британцев размером взяток, которые они запросили за возможность вести бизнес на Украине.
Журнал The Economist издается с 1843 года. Издание выходит каждую неделю тиражом около полутора миллионов экземпляров.
