Издание Time принесло извинения за своего корреспондента Майкла Грюнвальда, который через микроблог Twitter пожелал основателю скандального ресурса WikiLeaks Джулиану Ассанжу скорейшей смерти, сообщают РИА Новости со ссілкой на журнал New Yorker.

"Я не могу дождаться, когда начну писать в защиту удара с беспилотника, которым уберут Ассанжа", - говорилось в твит-сообщении Грюнвальда.

Впрочем, как отмечается, к настоящему моменту это сообщение уже удалено.

Как отмечается в распространенном Time письме, высказанное Грюнвальдом является его персональным мнением, и не отражает взгляды редакции авторитетного издания. Содержание сообщения корреспондента в журнале назвали "оскорбительным".

Тем временем сам автор также признал, что совершил "глупость" и сожалеет об этом.

Ранее Ассанж назвал заявление президента США Барака Обамы о намерении внести изменения в программы слежки американских спецслужб победой Эдварда Сноудена.

В июле этого года основатель скандального сайта, разоблачающего правительства ведущих стран, объявил о создании в Австралии партии Wikileaks и намерении участвовать в сентябрьских выборах в парламент.
