Предложение Украины предоставить специалистов для ликвидации химического оружия в Сирии следует рассматривать как пиар-ход.

Так считает директор Центра анализа мировой торговли оружием, член Общественного совета при Минобороны РФ Игорь Коротченко.

Как известно, президент Украины Виктор Янукович предложил привлечь украинских специалистов для уничтожения сирийского химического оружия.

"До настоящего времени Украина не значилась в числе стран, обладающих передовыми технологиями уничтожения химического оружия", - заявил Коротченко, пишет "Зеркало недели".

"Возможно, там есть какие-то разработки, но надо понимать, что украинский потенциал не сопоставим с российским, где осуществляется в промышленных объемах утилизация и деактивация советского химического наследства. Поэтому в практическом плане украинское предложение — не более чем пиар-ход", — добавил он.

Как сообщал "Обозреватель", Россия и США на прошлой неделе договорилисьсовместно реализовывать план по передаче химического оружия Сирии под международный контроль с его последующим уничтожением.

Сирия согласилась с этим планом. Асад в интервью Fox News на этой неделе заявил, что готов выполнять соглашение, которое предусматривает уничтожение химического оружия.
