Верховна Рада повинна погодити зміни до виборчого законодавства і, можливо, зобов'язати кандидатів у депутати проходити огляд у психіатра.

Про це заявив лідер парламентської фракції "Батьківщина" Арсеній Яценюк на погоджувальній раді в понеділок, пише "Інтерфакс-Україна".

"Необхідно створити тимчасову спеціальну комісію з питання внесення змін та доповнень до законодавства про вибори народних депутатів місцевих рад та про вибори президента", - сказав він.

Яценюк нагадав, що з цією пропозицією представники опозиції вийшли ще півроку тому.

Він запропонував лідеру фракції Партії регіонів Олександру Єфремову дати відповідь, "чи згодні вони на цю пропозицію".

"Судячи з виступів народних депутатів, я роблю висновок, що нам точно треба вносити зміни до закону про вибори... Одна з вимог, перед тим як реєструвати депутатів, - потрібна довідка про психічний стан", - сказав Яценюк.

Як відомо, у п'ятницю 18 жовтня депутатами від Партії регіонів Єфремовим, Олійником і Лук'янченком був зареєстрований проект постанови про створення комісії для узгодження змін до виборчого законодавства.
