Видеохостинг YouTube представил новый логотип — «пузырь», в центр которого помещен знак «play»

Как передает «Лента.ру», изображение появилось на официальных страницах YouTube в Facebook и Twitter.

В новом варианте логотипа от названия сервиса как составной части фирменного знака было решено отказаться: отныне YouTube предлагается узнавать по одному лишь «пузырю», в центр которого помещен знак «воспроизведение» («play»).

Отметим, впервые новый логотип появился на прошлой неделе в мобильных приложениях YouTube для iOS и Android, а также в значке веб-страницы (favicon) в некоторых браузерах. При этом на самом сайте все еще показывается прежний логотип, и сроки окончательного перехода к новому фирменному знаку не называются.

C момента запуска YouTube в 2006 году логотип сервиса лишь однажды претерпевал изменения, которые к тому же были незначительными: в 2011 году был изменен цвет градиента на фирменном знаке. Однако по сути логотип оставался неизменным: надпись YouTube, где слово Tube вписано в «пузырь» — стилизованное изображение телеэкрана. Впоследствии эту схему позаимствовали и некоторые другие видеохостинги.
