Найбільші американські, європейські та японські компанії активно скорочують свої інвестиції в Китай, - The Wall Street Journal 

Економіка Китаю повільно відновлюється після пандемії COVID-19.  Ситуація ускладнюється кризою на ринку нерухомості та напруженням у зовнішньоторговельних відносинах із США.

Кількість компаній, які, як і раніше вважає КНР пріоритетним напрямком для інвестицій, впала до мінімального рівня за останні 25 років.  Із 306 опитаних компаній 20% планують продовжити скорочення інвестицій у 2025 р.

За підсумками 2023 року прямі іноземні інвестиції у Китай знизилися на 8%.

Південнокорейська компанія Hyundai продала три заводи в Китаї і перейшла на розширення виробництва в Індії. Американська хайтек-корпорація IBM вирішила вивести свої дослідні інститути за межі Китаю, що призвело до звільнення понад 1000 співробітників компанії.

8 вересня влада Китаю прийняла рішення зняти з 1 листопада всі обмеження на іноземні інвестиції у виробничий сектор.
