Apple відклала запуск свого розумного домашнього хабу через затримку функцій Siri. Про це повідомив інсайдер і журналіст Марк Гурман із Bloomberg.

Спочатку компанія планувала анонсувати пристрій у березні 2025 року, але через залежність від персоналізованих можливостей Siri реліз відтермінували.

Поки Apple дозволила деяким співробітникам тестувати пристрій вдома. Це сталося після оголошення компанії про необхідність додаткового часу для завершення роботи над покращеною Siri.

Спочатку Apple планувала випустити оновлену Siri в iOS 18.4, але функції не з’явилися в бета-версії. Потім реліз перенесли на iOS 18.5 у травні, однак тепер очікується, що вони вийдуть не раніше iOS 19 у вересні 2025-го або навіть iOS 19.4 у березні 2026 року. Оновлення включатиме глибше розуміння особистого контексту користувача, аналіз екрана та покращене управління додатками.

Через затримку Siri Apple вирішила відкласти й домашній хаб, адже пристрій багато в чому залежатиме від цих функцій.

Очікується, що новинка буде схожа на HomePod із 6- або 7-дюймовим дисплеєм, отримає чип A18 і підтримку Apple Intelligence. Пристрій можна буде встановити на стіл або закріпити на стіні.

Ймовірно, гаджет вийде «протягом наступного року», але точна дата залишається невідомою.
