Компанія Apple вперше стала лідером ринку смартфонів у 2023 році й отримала 20% його частки. Тим часом Samsung втратила першість, яку тримала з 2010 року. Про це йдеться у звіті International Data Corporation (IDC).

У минулому році загальний ринок смартфонів упав на 3,2%, а поставки скоротилися до 1,17 мільярда одиниць. Ситуація залишається складною, але ринок рухається до відновлення.

Втрата Samsung свого лідерства повʼязана з Apple, але також причиною цьому стали такі бренди, як OnePlus, Honor, Google, що створюють конкурентоспроможні смартфони в низькій ціновій категорії.

Наприклад, у Китаї лідирують місцеві виробники Huawei і Xiaomi. Водночас там Apple продає свої iPhone 15 зі знижками через жорстку конкуренцію на найбільшому у світі ринку смартфонів і падіння попиту на продукцію Apple.
