Про це він повідомив в етері Youtube-каналу "Фейгін-Live" російського юриста Марка Фейгіна у День пам’яті захисників України (роковини Іловайської трагедії).

Коментуючи російською мовою ситуацію на Півдні України, радник Офісу президента Олексій Арестович сказав: “Полковник Арестович доклад закінчив”.

“А як? Ти ж був підполковником! Чьо, вже полковник?”, – здивовано уточнив Марк Фейгін.

“Проговорився”, – відповів Арестович.

“Так, зрозуміло, швидко ж у вас все”, – резюмував Фейгін.

Раніше, на початку квітня цього року Олексій Арестович в жартівливій формі повідомив про своє підвищення до підполковника.

Військовий Дмитро Іванов у коментарях зауважив, що під час перебування в запасі звання вище підполковника не присвоюється. Тому він підозрює, що радник Офісу президента поширив неправдиву інформацію про своє підвищення до полковника.

Користувачі фейсбуку, зокрема і військові, розкритикували таке раптове підвищення.
