Найбільшій комерційний банк Ефіопії СВЕ назвав публічно імена клієнтів, які відмовилися повертати гроші, що опинилися на їхніх картках в результаті збою. Також він роздрукував обличчя цих людей та вивісив на банерах. 

Про це повідомляє ВВС.

Банк каже, що в результаті збою електронних систем близько $14 млн опинилися у не тих руках, а точніше – не на тих рахунках. Збій стався місяць тому і тривав годину. 

Близько 3/4 суми уже вдалося повернути – це виявилися чесні вкладники. Однак, частина клієнтів незаконно присвоїла кошти. Банк заздалегідь попередив, що усі, хто не повернув гроші, будуть арештовані. Однак це відмовилися зробити тисячі осіб. 

Але проблема полягає у тому, що більшістю із, хто якомога скоріше зняв гроші, були студенти. Вони купили дорогі телефони, планшети, річні абоненти на користування інтернетом тощо – і їм просто нема чого повертати.

Банк розмістив на своєму сайті дані про людей, хто не повернув гроші – їхнє фото, номер банківського рахунку та суму, які людина, по-суті, вкрала. 

Також банк розвісив банери у столиці країни, Аддіс-Абебі. 

“Їм нікуди тікати. Тому що вони наші клієнти. Ми знаємо їх. Ми їх відслідковуємо, і вони понесуть законне покарання”, – каже керівник банку Абе Сано.

Загалом послугати СВЕ користуються 38 млн мешканців Ефіопії.
