BBC вибачилася за порушення власних стандартів неупередженості перед колишнім лідером партії Brexit Найджелом Фараджем.Про це пише Independent.

 Інцидент стався на прес-конфереції очолюваної нині Фараджем партії Реформуй UK. У своїй промові він сказав, що те, що колись було «потоком» мігрантів, тепер є «потопом», і заявив, що «великий приплив молодих чоловіків» мав «катастрофічні» наслідки у шведському місті Мальме.

Журналістка BBC Гіта Гуру-Мерті сказала, що Фарадж використовував «звичайну підбурювальну мову».

«Ведуча новин BBC Гіта щойно звинуватила мене у «звичайних підбурливих словах», коли я цитував прем’єр-міністра Польщі Дональда Туска на прес-конференції», - написав Фарадж в мережі X.

 Відповідно до зобов’язань ВВС щодо політичної нейтральності, через дві години журналістка вибачилася. Раніше BBC перепрошувала перед партією Реформуй UK за опис організації як «ультраправої».
