Попри західні санкції, білоруська державна авіакомпанія «Белавіа» знайшла спосіб поповнити свій флот, придбавши три літаки Airbus A330 через Гамбію. Ці літаки раніше належали гамбийській Magic Air, а тепер уже перебувають у Мінську, - повідомляє Reuters .  

За даними Flightradar24 і кількох інших моніторингових сервісів, лайнери прибули в Білорусь 17 серпня 2024 року з Каїра, Стамбула і Маската. Однак справжній покупець цих літаків — компанія з Об'єднаних Арабських Еміратів, яка переправила їх у Білорусь, щоб обійти санкції.  

При цьому технічний стан придбаних літаків викликає серйозні запитання. За словами джерел Aviation Week, салони перебувають у жалюгідному стані, а процес ремонту затягується. Пілотам «Белавіа» також довелося проходити перенавчання, оскільки раніше авіакомпанія використовувала лише літаки Boeing.  

Попри ці проблеми, «Белавіа» планує почати польоти на Airbus A330 вже цієї весни. Однак придбання старих і технічно зношених літаків через третю країну свідчить про відчайдушні спроби режиму Лукашенка зберегти авіаперевезення на тлі міжнародних санкцій. Західні обмеження продовжують ефективно ізолювати авіаційний сектор Білорусі від сучасних літаків і технологій.
