На записі жіночий голос під звуки цимбал розповідає українською, що борщ — "унікальна страва східнослов'янської кухні", а в європейських кухнях "нічого подібного немає й близько".

У зверненні йдеться, що між білоруським та українським борщем є невеликі відмінності — до української прийнято додавати більше квасолі, а до білоруської — картоплі. У записі кілька разів по-радянськи українців називають "товаришами".

Щоб хоч якось приховати свої наміри, білоруські прикордонники прикрились фразою: "Якщо вам більше не буде з чого готувати ваш борщ, переходьте на наш бік. Покуштуйте наш, білоруський борщ! Не пошкодуєте!".
