Американська компанія Boston Dynamics, яка зараз належить Hyundai, вирішила вивести з експлуатації своїх гуманоїдних роботів Atlas.

З цього приводу компанія опублікувала прощальне відео з добіркою найкращих або курйозних моментів випробувань Atlas.

«Протягом майже десяти років Atlas розпалював нашу уяву, надихав наступні покоління робототехніків і перестрибував через технічні барʼєри в цій галузі. Тепер настав час для нашого гідравлічного робота Atlas відпочити та розслабитися», — йдеться в підписі до відео.

Попри назву ролика «Прощавай, Atlas», відео закінчується словами «Поки ми не зустрінемося знову».

Як зазначає TechCrunch, Boston Dynamics уже кілька років зосереджена на комерціалізації технологій. А придбання компанії Hyundai у 2021 році ще більше прискорило цей шлях.

Після придбання компанії Hyundai зʼявилась велика ймовірність, що майбутні оновлення продуктів Boston Dynamics використовуватимуться в автомобілебудуванні.
