Компанія Hindenburg Research звинуватила польського ритейлера LPP (магазини Cropp, Sinsay, Mohito, Reserved) у фіктивному виході з росії.
Свої аргументи компанія виклала у великому розслідуванні на своєму сайті.
До початку повномасштабної російсько-української війни росія була найбільшим міжнародним ринком LPP, на який припадало 20% виторгу. Компанія мала 553 магазини й планувала відкривати нові.
У 2022 році LPP оголосила про продаж російського бізнесу китайському консорціуму за $382 млн.
Попри це загальний виторг LPP у 2022-2023 фінансовому році все одно збільшився на "нечувані для роздрібної торгівлі одягом" 40,5%, а акції вийшли на історичні максимуми.
"Ми вважаємо, що LPP змогла показати такі видатні результати, тому що її відмова від російського бізнесу була суцільним обманом", – йдеться в розслідуванні Hindenburg.
