Новообраний президент Дональд Трамп розглядає кандидатуру колишнього голови ЦРУ Девіда Петреуса на посаду держсекретаря/
 

Про це повідомляє Bloomberg.

Трамп проведе зустріч з Петреусом у понеділок у Нью-Йорку.

Петреус був призначений на посаду голови ЦРУ президентом США Бараком Обамою.

Перед цим 64-річний генерал керував військовими операціями в Афганістані та Ірані.

З посади голови ЦРУ Петреус був звільнений у листопаді 2012 року у зв'язку з тим, що він розкрив секретні документи своєму біографу Полі Бродуелл.

Він пішов на угоду зі слідством, тому зміг уникнути кримінальної відповідальності за розкриття секретних документів.
