Сьогодні, 22 червня, стартує цілодобовий англомовний телеканал DW, що запропонує новинний контент та журналістські розслідування.

Генеральний директор німецького ЗМІ Петер Лімбург наголосив: «Deutsche Welle знають і цінують за серйозну і зважену журналістику, ми продовжимо працювати в цьому напрямку. Ми знаємо, наскільки великий інтерес до ФРН. Наш новий канал допоможе ще краще задовольнити попит на інформацію про Німеччину».

DW прагне збільшити частку актуального інформаційного контенту, а тому кожна година ефіру розпочинатиметься з новин. Також змістяться географічні акценти,пише Media Sapiens

Керівник відділу новин DW Карстен фон Намен розповів: «Ми плануємо покращити і розширити нашу присутність у Африці та Азії».

Саме тому німецька радіостанція та телеканал розширює свою кореспондентську мережу. Поряд з діючими студіями в Москві, Брюсселі, Вашингтоні та Києві кореспонденти працюватимуть, зокрема, у Бангкоку, Лагосі та Каїрі, повідомляється на сайті.

«Ми хочемо, щоб наші глядачі дивувалися. Ми хочемо, щоб вони думали: «Нічого собі, такого я ще не бачив», - обіцяє Карстен фон Намен.

Слоган нового телеканалу DW і всієї Deutsche Welle.

У новій телестудії в Берліні встановлено гігантську відеостіну довжиною 12 і висотою 2 метри. Вона слугує екраном для відео, фотографій та комп’ютерної графіки.
