Американське інформаційне агенство Associated Press 8 травня 2023 року отримало Пулітцерівську премію за роботу українських фотокореспондентів Мстислава Чернова, Євгена Малолєтки та Василіси Степаненко в Маріуполі.  Про це повідомляється на офіційній сторінці Пулітцерівської премії у Twitter.


 

Вони залишалися єдиними представниками ЗМІ в пеклі, в яке перетворили росіяни місто на Азовському морі.

Це їх очима світ бачив розбомблений театр і пологовий будинок, вбитих людей на вулицях і знищені квартали, очі і обличчя захисників Азовсталі.

Майже місяць, щоденно ризикуючи  життям в оточеному місті, вони професійно і мужньо виконували свою роботу.

Їх фото- вже історія, безцінний архів для майбутнього трибуналу над режимом Путіна.
