Документальний фільм “Будинок зі скалок” (A House Made of Splinters) про українських дітей на війні потрапив до шорт-листу американської кіноакадемії та побореться за статуетку “Оскар”. Над стрічкою працювала команда із Данії, України, Швеції та Фінляндії.

Стрічка “Будинок зі скалок” потрапила у до списку кращих документальних фільмів. Знімав її данський режисер Сімон Леренг Вільмонт за підтримки Державного агентства України з питань кіно.
У фільмі розповідають історію кількох виховатильок дитбудинку на сходу України. Він знаходиться поблизу фронту і приймає дітей, які постраждали від війни. Поки що “Будинок зі скалок” очолює список документальних стрічок.
Церемонія нагороджуння відбудеться 13 березня. “Аватар: Шлях води”, “На західному фронті без змін”, та “Банші Інішерина” та ще десять стрічок позмагаються за звання кращого художнього фільму.
