Офіцери-прикордонники Олександр та Яна разом проходили службу у Краматорську. У лютому 2022 року, рятуючись від війни, Яна з донькою виїхали до безпечної Хмельницької області. Минулого року сім'я майже не бачилася.

Нещодавно Яна з Іванкою приїхали до Краматорська, щоб відвідати Олександра та побути всім разом. 10 днів відпустки пролетіли швидко. Пора було прощатися.

На вокзалі, незадовго до відправлення поїзда, до сім'ї підійшли двоє чоловіків: представилися журналістами з New York Times, попросили зробити фото. Пара подумала, що це жарт, але фото зробити дозволила.

Згодом подружжя побачило своє фото на першій шпальті New York Times.
