Генеральний секретар Організації Обʼєднаних Націй (ООН) Антоніу Гутерреш сказав, що рішуче засуджує ракетний удар Ірану по Ізраїлю 1 жовтня.

Про це Гутерреш сказав на засіданні Ради Безпеки ООН щодо ситуації на Близькому Сході.

«Як я робив у зв’язку з атакою Ірану у квітні, і як це мало бути очевидним вчора в контексті висловленого мною засудження, я знову рішуче засуджую вчорашній масштабний ракетний удар Ірану по Ізраїлю», — заявив він.

 1 жовтня Іран запустив по Ізраїлю понад 180 балістичних ракет. Постраждали дві людини, загинула одна — це був палестинець.  Більшість ракет вдалося збити. У цьому ізраїльським військовим допомогли американські есмінці у східній частині Середземного моря, які знищили кілька ракет. Через атаку постраждали дві людини, минулося без загиблих. Це була помста за загибель лідера ХАМАС Ісмаїла Ханії, лідера «Хезболли» Хасана Насралли та командувача КВІР Аббаса Нілфорушана.

Після цього Міністр закордонних справ Ізраїлю Ісраель Кац оголосив генерального секретаря ООН Антоніу Гутерреша персоною нон грата і заборонив йому вʼїзд до країни через те, що той не зміг однозначно засудити напад Ірану на Ізраїль
