Після останнього оновлення майже 10 років тому Google оновлює свій знаковий логотип «G».

1 вересня 2015 року компанія суттєво оновила свій логотип на сучасний шрифт під назвою Product Sans. Як частина цього, значок «G» змінився з малої білої літери «g» на синьому тлі на круглий дизайн, який ми бачимо вже протягом останніх 10 років.

Зараз Google оновлює іконку так, щоб більше не було чотирьох суцільних кольорових секцій. Замість цього червоний переходить у жовтий, жовтий у зелений, а зелений у синій.

Наразі ця нова іконка вже використовується у Пошуку Google для iOS, а у понеділок іконка з’явилася на Android у застосунку Google 16.18 (бета-версія).

Не схоже, що Google сьогодні оновлює свій головний логотип з шести літер, і неясно, чи змінюються логотипи інших продуктів.
