Компанія Google виграла апеляцію проти антимонопольного штрафу Європейського Союзу на €1,49 мільярда. Його наклали пʼять років тому, бо Google створював перешкоди конкурентам у сфері пошукової реклами.

У 2019 році Європейська комісія постановила, що Google зловживав домінуючим становищем на ринку і не дозволяв вебсайтам використовувати інших брокерів для розміщення реклами, крім своєї платформи AdSense
Європейський суд загальної юрисдикції в Люксембурзі в основному погодився з оцінкою Єврокомісії, але штраф таки скасував. Google повідомив, що змінив умови контрактів, які потрапляють під штраф, у 2016 році — тобто ще до рішення Комісії.
Штраф AdSense — це один із трьох штрафів, які коштували Google загалом €8,25 мільярда. Його наклали на Google через скаргу Microsoft у 2010 році.
