У компанії анонсували, що звичну комбінацію "логін + пароль" буде замінено на ключі доступу (passkeys).

Ключі доступу - це стійка до фішингу альтернатива паролям. Користувачі будуть входити в акаунти за допомогою тих же біометричних даних або PIN-кодів, які вони використовують для розблокування своїх пристроїв, або за допомогою фізичного ключа безпеки.

Ключі доступу складаються з двох частин:
- одна частина залишається на сервері застосунку або вебсайту;
- інша зберігається на вашому пристрої, що дозволяє вам довести, що ви є законним власником облікового запису.
Такий підхід робить практично неможливим віддалений доступ хакерів до вашого облікового запису, оскільки фізичний доступ до пристрою користувача необхідний навіть у разі зламу сервера.

У компанії анонсували, що вже при наступному вході до свого облікового запису Google, будуть з'являтись підказки, як створювати та використовувати ключі доступу.
