Прем‘єр-міністр України Денис Шмигаль вважає, що переспрямування коштів, які призначено для телемарафону Єдині новини і телеканалу FREEDOM, на фінансування закупівлі дронів і пікапів для ЗСУ є недоцільним. Шмигаль відповів на петицію, яка набрала необхідні 25 тисяч голосів.
Він зазначив, що фінансування телемарафону є великою складовою протидії збройної агресії РФ проти України, зокрема в інформаційному просторі.
«Забезпечення інформаційної безпеки є частиною державної політики у сфері національної безпеки і оборони, а реалізація єдиної інформаційної політики — пріоритетним питанням національної безпеки… Відповідно перерозподіл зазначених у петиції видатків шляхом їх спрямування на потреби інших складових сектору безпеки та оборони не є доцільним», — зауважив прем'єр-міністр.
За його словами, уряд на системній основі здійснює роботу із залучення та спрямування фінансових, матеріально-технічних та інших ресурсів, зокрема міжнародної допомоги, на задоволення потреб і підвищення спроможностей ЗСУ та інших складових сектору безпеки й оборони.
Раніше військовослужбовець Павло Білоус створив петицію із закликом перенаправити на фінансування ЗСУ кошти, виділені для телемарафонів Єдині новини та FREEDOM.
У жовтні Київський міжнародний інститут соціології (КМІС) опублікував результати опитування, згідно з якими довіра українців до телемарафону різко знизилася — з 69% до 48% за півроку стало менше тих, хто йому довіряє.
