Джерело в Єврокомісії повідомило виданню EUobserver, що Сігал опиниться в чорному списку, якщо будуть вагомі юридичні підстави вважати, що його дії завдали шкоди Україні. Раніше американський актор виправдовував вторгнення в Україну «екзистенційною загрозою» для Росії та необхідністю боротьби з «нацистами».

Сігал підтримав анексію Криму у 2014 році, а пізніше отримав російський паспорт. Крім цього, у нього є громадянство Сербії та США. 

Також під санкції може потрапити російський співак Shaman, який був довіреною особою Путіна на президентських виборах 2024 року. І Сігал, і Дронов були присутні на інавгурації глави держави 7 травня у Кремлі.
