Європейська мовна спілка наполягає на тому, що не зніме Ізраїль з конкурсу в шведському Мальме, заявивши, що це не політична подія.

Заступник гендиректора EBU Жан Філіп Де Тендер закликав припинити «зловживання та переслідування» цьогорічних конкурсантів, багатьох із яких критикували в Інтернеті за те, що вони не відмовилися від участі в конкурсі на знак протесту.
