 В Instagram з'явилося «перезавантаження»: нова функція очищає алгоритми, що використовуються для рекомендацій фотографій та відео. Поки така кнопка доступна лише для користувачів у США, повідомляє The Washington Post. 

 Це означає, що тепер є можливість попрощатися з нескінченними повторюваними відео з танцями, полярними постами про Трампа, екстремальними фітнес-випробуваннями, драматичними голосами домашніх тварин, уроками з нарізання фруктів, фільтрами, що змінюють обличчя, чи будь-чим іншим, що заполонило вашу стрічку, наче зомбі.

Зараз багато людей втомилися від Instagram та й загалом Meta за наповнення додатків непотребом, припинення фактчекінгу і від поведінки гендиректора компанії Марка Цукерберга. Замість друзів, сім'ї та людей, яких обрали користувачі для підписки, стрічка або сторінка «Для вас» заповнена рекомендованим контентом, який людина ніколи не просила, відібраним за допомогою алгоритмів штучного інтелекту. Мета цього — втримати на гачку і впливати на людей, особливо молодь. Це одна з причин, чому Meta пропонує перезавантаження зараз: тому що на неї тиснуть, щоб дати більше можливостей контролю підліткам і їхнім сім'ям.
