Наразі невідомо, чи функцію можна буде ввімкнути лише для всіх чатів одночасно, чи для кожного окремо. Нововведення тестує обмежена група користувачів.

А для WhatsApp, що також належить Meta, функцію непрочитаних повідомлень запровадили ще у 2014
