Українська письменниця під час поїздки до Індії відвідала місто Дармсала. Там вона зустрілася з Далай-ламою XIV та подарувала йому підвісок у вигляді «Ї». За її словами, прикраса символізує українську мову та культуру.

Після вручення подарунка Далай-лама призупинив церемонію та помолився за майбутнє України.
