У середу управління з питань конкуренції Італії наклало штраф на корпорацію Meta в розмірі 3,5 млн євро за непрозорість у роботі з даними та обліковими записами соцмереж «Інстаграм» та «Фейсбук». Про це повідомила Ansa.

Регулятор стверджує, що Meta не надавала користувачам інстаграму чіткої інформації про те, як вона використовує їхні дані в комерційних цілях.

До того ж, Meta не забезпечила користувачів ефективними каналами для оскарження дій платформи у випадку призупинення або видалення  облікових записів фейсбуку та інстаграму.

Компанія не погоджується з рішенням італійського органу з питань конкуренції та поки що розглядає, що може зробити в подальшому.

«Ми вже внесли зміни для італійських користувачів, які вирішують питання, порушені AGCM з серпня 2023 року», — зазначили в Meta.

Платформа стверджує, що її мережі тепер чіткіше показують умови використання даних для показу персоналізованої реклами в інстаграмі та надали користувачам більше можливостей для оскарження блокування облікових записів.
