Компанія «Мета» запровадить можливість для європейських користувачів роз’єднати облікові записи в її застосунках «Інстаграм», «Фейсбук» та «Месенджер». Цей крок продиктований необхідністю забезпечити відповідність політики компанії вимогам закону ЄС «Про цифрові ринки», повідомило видання The Verge.

Упродовж кількох наступних тижнів користувачі в країнах ЄС, Європейського економічного простору та у Швейцарії отримуватимуть сповіщення про можливість вибору: хочуть вони ділитися своєю персональною інформацією між сервісами «Мети», чи ні.

Завдяки змінам, користувачі зможуть використовувати месенджер без облікового запису у фейсбуці. Користувачі, які раніше пов'язали свої акаунти у фейсбуці та інстаграмі для більш ефективної трансляції власного контенту, зможуть їх роз'єднати. У компанії «Мета» зазначили, що прив'язка акаунтів використовується для таких функцій, як таргетування реклами, персоналізація рекомендацій контенту та обмін публікаціями.

Користувачі ігрового і торговельного розділів фейсбуку також зможуть користуватися цими сервісами без використання інформації зі своїх основних акаунтів у соцмережі.

Уточнимо, закон ЄС «Про цифрові ринки» вповні набуде чинності 6 березня 2024 року. Відповідно до цього закону, компанії, чиї онлайн-платформи мають відвідуваність на місяць у понад 10% населення ЄС, повинні здійснювати управління ризиками, проводити зовнішній і незалежний аудит, обмінюватися даними з органами влади і дослідниками та прийняти кодекс поведінки до серпня. До переліку таких компаній, зокрема, ввійшла і «Мета».
