Бывший губернатор штата Нью-Мексико Гари Джонсон был выдвинут в кандидаты на  пост президента США от Либертарианской партии, передает Украинская правда.

В ходе голосования на съезде партии в воскресенье он набрал более 55%, тем самым опередив ближайшего соперника более чем в два раза.

В качестве вице-президента был выбран бывший губернатор штата Массачусетс Уильям Уэлд.

Таким образом, Джонсон поборется за пост президента США с кандидатами от Республиканской и Демократической партий.

Напомним, ранее Дональд Трамп набрал необходимое количество голосов делегатов для выдвижения на пост президента США от Республиканской партии.
