Беручи до уваги протести в Україні, влада Польщі заявила про відмову зображувати у нових паспортах країни Меморіалу орлят – польського військового поховання, котре знаходиться на території Личаківського кладовища у Львові. Більше того, в нових паспортів не буде зображення Святих воріт в Вільнюсі. Така інформація була надана главою польського Міністерства внутрішніх справ Маріушом Блащаком, - повідомляє PRпортал з посиланням на Onet.pl. «Розглянувши низку зауважень, які отримало міністерство, та експертні рекомендації відносно питань, які викликали суперечки, я прийняв наступне рішення: коли мова йде про Цвинтар львівських орлят, то замість нього буде фігура Антося Петрикевича» - сказав він.
Високопосадовець нагадав, що він став наймолодшим кавалером ордена Virtuti Militari, коли у тринадцятирічному віці разом з іншими львівськими орлятами вів боротьбу за незалежність Польщі, його поховали на Цвинтар орлят. Водночас, замість зображення Святих воріт у Вільнюсі в польському паспорті з'явиться напис з гробниці Марії Пілсудської.
Нагадаємо, що у МВС Польщі планували розмістити на нових паспортах країнрр Святі ворота в Вільнюсі та львівське Кладовище орлят.
