За результатами парламентських виборів в Іспанії жодна політична сила не отримала абсолютної більшості і можливості сформувати уряд самостійно.

За підсумками голосування консервативна Народна партія прем'єр-міністра країни Маріано Рахоя отримала 137 мандатів у 350-місцевому конгресі депутатів, нижній палаті іспанського парламенту.

Іспанська соціалістична робоча партія посіла друге місце і отримає 85 місць - на п'ять менше, ніж минулого разу. Лівий блок "Подемос" отримає 71 (без змін), а правоцентристська "Громадяни" - 32 (на вісім менше) мандати.

В результаті попередніх парламентських виборів в грудні 2015 року жодна з чотирьох основних партій, що пройшли до парламенту, не отримала абсолютної більшості голосів.

В результаті переговорів , що тривали кілька місяців партіям не вдалося сформувати ні коаліцію, ні уряд. На початку травня королю Іспанії Феліпе VI довелося розпустити парламент і призначити нові вибори.
