Новим генеральним директором «Укрінформу» призначили колишнього речника Східного угруповання військ Збройних сил України полковника Сергія Череватого. Про це повідомив в.о. міністра культури та інформаційної політики Ростислав Карандєєв на своїй сторінці на фейсбуці.
Сегрій Череватий у коментарі «Детектору медіа» повідомив, що офіційно на новій посаді його представлять у понеділок, 27 травня.
Полковник Сергій Череватий — фахівець зі стратегічних комунікацій, кандидат політичних наук. Від початку повномасштабного вторгнення, будучи заступником зі стратегічних комунікацій тодішнього командувача оперативно-стратегічного угруповання «Хортиця» Олександра Сирського, організував у Києві Інформаційний штаб. Після того працював речником Східного угруповання військ Збройних сил України. У січні 2024 року увійшов до складу секретаріату Національної спілки журналістів України.
30 квітня 2024 року він був призначений начальником кафедри військової журналістики Військового інституту Київського національного університету імені Тараса Шевченка (ВІКНУ). Череватий замінив на цій посаді соратника Шарія Геннадія Ніколайчука.
