Компанія OpenAI у своєму блозі презентувала інструмент на основі штучного інтелекту Voice Engine, який може озвучувати текст голосом іншої людини, маючи лише 15-секундний зразок мовлення. 

У повідомленні йдеться про те, що Voice Engine може відтворювати голос і особливості мовця з високою точністю. Інструмент дає змогу перекладати відео та подкасти, а також може допомогти людям з проблемами мови та відновленням голосу при різних мовленнєвих порушеннях.

OpenAI створила Voice Engine наприкінці 2022 року, але наразі публічного доступу до нього немає. Розробники побоюються, що його можуть використовувати для створення дипфейків. Тож зараз компанія сподівається отримати відгук від суспільства щодо можливих небезпек та етичних питань.

Нещодавно компанія OpenAI представила нову функцію чатбота зі штучним інтелектом ChatGPT — «Читання вголос». Функція дає користувачам можливість прослуховувати відповіді бота на їхні запити, обираючи з п'яти голосових варіантів. Вона вже доступна як у вебверсії, так і в застосунках для iOS та Android.
