Це підриває заяви про те, що проєкт став можливим лише завдяки інавгурації Трампа.

Про плани щодо проекту вартістю $100 млрд почали говорити ще у березні, підтвердила прессекретарка OpenAI Ліз Буржуа. OpenAI і Oracle завершили партнерство в червні, щоб побудувати принаймні один з центрів обробки даних, який є частиною Stargate.

 Однак у Білому домі гендиректор SoftBank Масайоші Сон заявив, що компанії не пішли б на цю угоду, якби Трамп не переміг на виборах. Вони підписали її в день інавгурації президента США.

Рішення компаній представити проєкт показує, як бізнес-лідери почали агресивний наступ на Трампа після його повернення до Білого дому. Але такі заяви не позбавлені політичних ризиків, як дізнався OpenAI, коли Маск розкритикував угоду в соціальній мережі X, якою він володіє.
