Мію Халіфу закенселили за підтримку Палестини. Журнал Playboy припинив з нею співпрацю. 

У X (Twitter) Халіфа кілька разів писала про війну, жартуючи про «сіоністський режим апартеїду, який повалено партизанами в підроблених сорочках Gucci». Також вона просила «борців за свободу в Палестині» знімати відео горизонтально, щоб потім це потрапило в «історичні книги».

Playboy розіслав листи передплатникам, у яких назвав пости Халіфи огидними. Журнал видалив канал Мії зі своїх платформ.

"Мія зробила огидні та осудливі коментарі, вихваляючи атаки ХАМАС на Ізраїль і вбивство невинних чоловіків, жінок і дітей. У Playboy ми заохочуємо свободу вираження поглядів і конструктивні політичні дебати, але ми дотримуємося політики нульової терпимості до мови ненависті. Ми очікуємо, що Мія зрозуміє, що її слова та дії мають наслідки", – йдеться в листі Playboy.

Сама Мія Халіфа є ліванкою з сім'ї католиків. У порно знімалась недовго.
