Грузинські ЗМІ повідомляють про смерть від тривалої хвороби грузинського співака та актора Вахтанга Кікабідзе. Йому було 84 роки.
 
 
Кікабідзе грав у відомих радянських фільмах, зокрема в «Міміно», був лауреатом Державної премії СРСР та мав багато інших нагород — радянських, грузинських та російських. 
 
Але після вторгнення росії в Грузію у 2008 році відмовився від російських нагород та більше ніколи не їздив до росії. Після початку війни 2014 року він активно підтримував Україну, приїжджав на гастролі, а в 2019 році давав концерти в містах підконтрольного Україні Донбасу.
