На 54-му році життя помер відомий український футбольний журналіст Артем Франков. Про це повідомив спортивний журналіст Андрій Шахов-молодший у facebook. 

"Пізно ввечері перестало битися серце легендарного Артема Франкова. Нашого хрещеного. Пишаюся і дякую за кожну зустріч, за кожну розмову і пораду. За все. Ви назавжди залишитеся рідною людиною. Світла памʼять, дядя Артем", - написав Шахов. 

31 жовтня повідомлялося, що Франков опинився у реанімації.  У нього стався вже другий інсульт. 

Артем Франков працював головним редактором журналу "Футбол".
