Після пів року війни в Україні незначна більшість американців погоджуються з тим, що Сполучені Штати повинні продовжувати підтримувати Київ, допоки Україна не звільнить свої території. Про це свідчать дані опитування Reuters та Ipsos.
З 1005 людей у Сполучених Штатах, які взяли участь в онлайн-опитуванні минулого тижня, 53% висловили підтримку Україні, "доки всі російські війська не будуть виведені з території, на яку претендує Україна". Лише 18% сказали, що проти.
51%, також підтримали надання зброї, у порівнянні з 22%, які були проти. У попередніх опитуваннях більша кількість американців підтримала постачання зброї Україні.
Згідно з минулими опитуваннями, серед американців було мало підтримки відправлення американських військ в Україну. Лише 26% заявили, що підтримують таке втручання, але 43% погодилися відправити війська США до сусідніх з Україною союзників по НАТО, які не воюють з Росією.
Видання повідомляє, що опитування свідчить про підтримку політики президента Джо Байдена щодо України, попри економічні проблеми та внутрішньополітичні події.
