Президент Венесуели Ніколас Мадуро звинуватив опозицію у вбивствах мирних громадян з допомогою снайперів, повідомило Новое воремя із посиланням на телеканал Globovision.

Мадуро прокоментував інформацію про загибель кількох осіб у ході зіткнень між протестуючими і поліцією.

"Вчора (10 травня) в Меріді помер молодий робітник. Його застрелили снайпери, яких БДЄ (Блок демократичної єдності) розмістив в декількох районах країни для вбивств населення", - заявив він.

Крім того, Мадуро повідомив про розстріл у місті Лас-Мерседес молодого журналіста.

Глава МВС країни Нестор Реверол також заявив, що вбивства мирних жителів були здійснені снайперами опозиції, передає Reuters.

У свою чергу опозиція звинувачує урядові сили у використанні снайперів.

Всього, за даними агентства, за час заворушень у країні загинули щонайменше 39 людей, кілька сотень постраждали.
