«Ми дуже засмучені тим, що один із членів нашої родини Фауда, Матан Меїр, був убитий під час бойових дій у Газі. Матан був невід’ємною частиною команди», – йдеться у повідомленні.
Матан Меїр мав звання сержанта-майора, бився у складі 697-го батальйону 551-ї бригади ЦАХАЛ. Він загинув у бою 10 листопада. За даними порталу Ynet, він отримав поранення під час вибуху поряд з мечеттю в Бейт-Хануні на півночі Гази. Режисерові було 38 років.
