В понеділок, 9 вересня, російські користувачі інтернету почали скаржитися на неможливість створити новий профіль у Google за допомогою російських номерів телефонів. Про це повідомляє російське агентство ТАСС.

Зазначається, що система дає зробити всі кроки для створення нового облікового запису — вибрати ім'я, стать і дату народження, придумати назву пошти і пароль до неї.

Але підтвердити пошту мобільним номером з Росії не вдається. Це призводить до появи повідомлення про помилку: «Цей номер не можна використовувати для підтвердження».

Google офіційно не коментував блокування російських користувачів.

Як пише NV, ситуація може бути пов’язана з тим, що 12 вересня набувають чинності санкції, які США запровадили проти Росії в червні 2024 року. Як повідомляється на сайті Міністерства фінансів США, в новому пакеті забороняється надавати користувачам з Росії послуги у сфері ІТ та програмного забезпечення, ІТ-консультації та підтримку, послуги з проєктування, хмарні послуги тощо.

Готуючись до можливого запровадження таких обмежень, російська влада торік ухвалила закон, що передбачає заборону на використання іноземних поштових скриньок для входу на російські сайти.
