У захопленому Маріуполі російські окупанти створили пропагандистський канал «Мариуполь 24», про це пише сайт міста 0629.

Як пише видання, запуск каналу окупанти та колаборанти готували з травня. Зокрема, керувати ним мав маріупольський журналіст, що був президентом телеканалу МТВ, а згодом очолив так званий пресцентр окупаційної адміністрації.

Канал планували назвати «Новий Маріуполь», але надалі, стверджує 0629, «прийшли донецькі» та відсторонили маріупольських колаборантів від проєкту. Створювати місцевий пропагандистський телеканал взялися «фахівці» з окупованого Донецька та Санкт-Петербурга, в тому числі генеральний директор телеканалу «Санкт-Петербург» Олександр Малькевич, що нещодавно очолив кафедру журналістики в захопленому Херсоні.

Щоб створити новий канал, до Маріуполя прибули російські журналісти. Завдяки випускам «Мариуполь 24» стало відомо, хто ще з місцевих журналістів працює з окупантами. Зокрема, це спортивний оглядач Олександр Капустян (22 роки пропрацював спортивним кореспондентом на МТВ), кореспондент Олександр Бузулук, студентка факультету журналістики місцевого університету Ксенія Місюревич.
