В России будет запущено новое информагентство для вещания за рубежом. Интернет-проект под рабочим названием «Спутник» будет создан на базе международного информационного агентства (МИА) «Россия сегодня».

Об этом сообщает «РБК» со ссылкой на собственные источники. В пресс-службе «России сегодня» эту информацию также подтвердили, однако подробности раскрыть отказались.

Ожидается, что новый продукт будет представлен 10 ноября. Презентацию под названием «Открытие новой эры иновещания» для официальных лиц, руководителей российских и зарубежных компаний проведут гендиректор «России сегодня» Дмитрий Киселев и главный редактор телеканала Russia Today Маргарита Симоньян.

Планируется, что новое СМИ объединит несколько десятков иноязычных сайтов. По некоторым данным, «Спутник» также будет вещать на базе радиокомпании «Голос России», входящей в состав «России сегодня». Косвенное подтверждение этому представлено в реестре российских зарегистрированных СМИ. Так, в конце мая 2014 года на портале были зарегистрированы два проект с названием Sputnik — информационное агентство и радиоканал.

Территория распространения у обоих медиа указана как Россия и зарубежные страны. Перечень этих стран не указан, однако отмечается, что «Спутник» будет вещать на 45 языках.
