Посольство РФ, располагающееся в фешенебельном районе на северо-западе Вашингтона, оградили массивным железным забором.

На одной из сторон добавили дополнительный слой защиты – колючую проволоку, сообщает американская газета The Washington Post,передает Новое время

Живущая поблизости Джойс Уилсон рассказала изданию, что защитные сооружения появились в последние пару недель. В середине апреля их еще не было, утверждает она, добавляя, что шокирована видом гротескных и опасных шипов в ее благородном районе.

“Мы знаем, что отношения США и России натянутые, однако почему они это сделали? Угрозы со стороны проукраинских активистов? Пропаганда с целью показать, что русские у себя дома? Отпугивание белок? Паранойя?”, - задается вопросами автор статьи. Однако в то же время предполагает, что, возможно, РФ просто взяла пример с Белого дома, который добавил шипы на ограду, чтобы воспрепятствовать любителям перелезать через забор.

Сотрудники посольства пока не ответили ни на один из многочисленных журналистских запросов.
