Британська нафтогазова компанія Shell, як і раніше, зберігає довгостроковий контракт на купівлю зрідженого природного газу (ЗПГ) у структури російського НОВАТЕКу, - випливає з фінансово звіту концерну за 2023 рік.

У звіті також сказано, що Shell зберігає свою частку в 27,5% у компанії Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. 

У червні 2022 путін підписав указ про передачу майна Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd. у безоплатне користування новому російському оператору проекту «Сахалін-2».

Японські Mitsui & Co. та Mitsubishi підтвердили, що залишаються в проекті. Shell відмовилася увійти до складу співвласників російського оператора.

Зараз у Shell залишився offtake-контракт на отримання до 1 млн тонн ЗПГ на рік із «Сахаліну-2» до 2028 року.

2023-го «Сахалін-2» експортував 10,2 млн т ЗПГ, з них майже 6 млн т пішли до Японії, 2,58 млн т — до Китаю, 1,65 млн т — до Південної Кореї. За довгостроковими контрактами реалізуються до 90% партій Сахалін-2.
